Om Meditation Shawl:

Om, the popular mantra and mystical Sanskrit sound printed on our new labeled shawls, is sacred to many religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism. It is said to be the primordial sound that was present when the universe was created; the original sound that contains not only all sounds but also all silence.

In Hinduism, the sound of Om is broken down to 'a-u-m', representing the Holy Trinity known as the Trimurti. The mantra begins with the sound 'a', representing Brahma the Creator, then the middle sound of 'u' is Vishnu the sustainer who preserves the world by balancing Brahma on a lotus flower above himself. The concluding 'm' sound symbolizes Shiva the Destroyer who brings the final cycle of existence to the universe before it begins all over again.

Maha Mantra Meditation Shawl:

The Maha Mantra is made up the holy names Hare, Krishna and Rama, with the power to remove all impurities from the one who recites it with complete devotion. Hara is a name of Radha, Sri Krishna’s beloved and a representative of the divine feminine energy known as Shakti. It can also be interpreted as a form of Hari, which is one of the names of Vishnu that literally means “he who removes illusion”. Krishna is the name of one Vishnu’s most celebrated incarnations and Rama is the name of an earlier incarnation, representing dharma.
