Using resin incense is a traditional way to create a rich and aromatic atmosphere, often used in spiritual practices, meditation, or simply to scent a space. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use resin incense:

Materials Needed:

Resin Incense: This comes in various types like frankincense, myrrh, copal, or dragon’s blood.

Charcoal Disc: Specially made for burning incense. It typically comes in small, round discs.

Incense Burner: A heat-resistant container, such as a censer or a small bowl filled with sand or ash.

Tongs or Tweezers: To safely handle the hot charcoal.

Lighter or Matches: To ignite the charcoal.

Steps to Use Resin Incense:

Prepare Your Burner:

- Place some sand or ash in the bottom of your incense burner to insulate it. This will help distribute the heat and protect the surface where the burner is placed.

- Light the Charcoal Disc.

- Hold the charcoal disc with tongs or tweezers.

- Use a lighter or match to ignite the charcoal disc. It will start to spark and crackle as it heats up.

- Wait until the charcoal disc is fully ignited and glowing. It should turn a light gray color, indicating it's ready.

Place the Charcoal in the Burner:

- Carefully place the lit charcoal disc in the center of your incense burner on top of the sand or ash.

Add the Resin:

- Once the charcoal is ready, place a small amount of resin incense on top of the charcoal. Start with a pinch, as resin can be quite potent.

- The resin will begin to melt and release its fragrant smoke almost immediately.

Enjoy the Aroma:

- Allow the resin to burn and fill your space with its aromatic smoke. You can add more resin as needed, but be mindful not to overwhelm the space with too much smoke.

Clean Up:

- After the charcoal has burned out and cooled down completely, discard the ashes and remaining resin. Clean your incense burner regularly to avoid residue build-up.

Ventilation: Ensure the area is well-ventilated to avoid inhaling too much smoke.

Safety: Place the bowl in a safe, stable area, far from the reach of children, pets, and away from flammable objects.
Most burners get hot while burning charcoal. Place the burner on a surface with high heat tolerance or use a heat insulating barrier, such as a hot pad or coaster, and avoid direct handling.

Storage: Store your resin in a cool, dry place to maintain its quality.

Using resin incense can be a deeply satisfying and aromatic experience, adding a touch of tradition and spirituality to your space.
